If you happen to be in the market for a new helicopter, President Donald Trump is selling one of the three Sikorsky S76-B aircraft he owns.
Trump owns numerous private aircraft that are unassociated with the White House. The particular helicopter is up for sale through Aero Asset, and is stored in a hangar in New Jersey.
However, the current president has not listed the helicopter for any specific price. In fact, there is no price on the listing and he’s simply taking offers from buyers for the aircraft. The listing on AV Buyer only states “Make offer,” which leaves a wide-range for its price tag.
The exact model of the helicopter is a 1989 Sikorsky S76-B sn760351. Market value for the 30 plus-year-old helicopter is in the range of $700,000-$800,000. Newer models are easily twice that value ranging from $1 million to $2 million. Estimates are that Trump could earn upwards of $1.5 million on the helicopter if sold for peak value.
In the video below, you can see the helicopter “N76DT” that is up for sale. It explores the helicopter inside and out, and highlights its numerous amenities. Some of the finer details include gold seat belts, custom leather upholstery, and custom flooring.
Trump Used the Helicopter During 2016 Campaign, On ‘The Apprentice’
Trump has been spotted riding in the helicopter in the past. During his 2016 presidential campaign, he made multiple trips in the aircraft. In addition, Trump used the helicopter while filming his reality TV show “The Apprentice.” During the intro of the show, the president is seen exiting a limousine and entering the helicopter around the 2:40 mark of the clip below. As the footage shows, his last name used to be written down the tail of the aircraft.
According to the promotional video made for prospective buyers of the helicopter, the aircraft has been up for sale since August. It is unknown if anyone has made an offer for Trump’s helicopter, or if he is waiting on better offers before selling.
Trump’s personal finances have been under increased scrutiny since taking over the presidency. The president has refused to release his tax returns and multiple reports have questioned his true earnings. Although Trump could just be selling the helicopter instead of letting it collect dust in a New Jersey hangar, the listing will likely bring more unwanted speculation into the president’s personal finances.
