Reporter’s Footage Shows Mob’s Initial U.S. Capitol Breach

Political reporter for the Huffington Post, Igor Bobic, is currently in lock-down due to the breach. Beforehand, Bobic managed to film the initial breach of the U.S. Capitol.

“Here’s the scary moment when protesters initially got into the building from the first floor and made their way outside Senate chamber,” Bobic captions the footage on Twitter.

Since his post, Bobic has noted his safety. “Thanks for the tweets and texts, friends. I am safe and in hiding.”

Prior to the footage, Bobic captured the following shot of rioters entering the U.S. Capitol. One is carrying a Confederate flag, while others sport red “Make America Great Again” hats.

The “unlawful behavior” from the mob reportedly also includes the smashing of historic U.S. Capitol windows. Twitter’s U.S. Elections Division continues to live stream the ongoing U.S. Capitol situation.
