Body Language Expert’s Analysis of The Interaction
Dr. Jack Brown, who refers to himself as a “Body Language & Emotional Intelligence Expert, Speaker, Physician, and Lecturer” in his Twitter bio, gave an in-depth analysis of the look. He tweeted zoomed-in screenshots of the First Lady’s facial expression, during what he calls a “crucial moment.”
He says Melania’s smile is surely a “social smile,” done out of politeness in agreement with social expectations.
Brown goes on to specifically analyze the transition Melania does between her smile and cold look. He claims tension in her face, especially, demonstrates anger and disgust.
