The FBI has confirmed that Brian Laundrie is dead and social media is going wild reacting to the news.
Firstly, the majority of social media reactions are negative to the news. Will anyone ever know what really happened to Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie? Social media is not satisfied with the discovery and the investigation, to say the least.
Secondly, some people believe that there is a conspiracy theory as Brian’s parents were the ones to discover his belongings. They joined the search for the first time on October 20, the day that the remains and items were found. At the very least, nobody can deny that it isn’t a bit suspicious. Thirdly, Chris and Roberta Laundrie have yet to talk to the public or press.
“No real surprise that Brian was found dead. I firmly believe the parents know more than they’ve told authorities. The Laundrie family has no shame,” one user tweeted.
Another added, “Regardless of what’s said or “found” I feel like Brian is still alive and his family is tied in with law enforcement so a cover-up operation is in effect.”
“Brian Laundrie’s parents helped him flee,” someone alleged. “And now that he’s dead there’s answers we will never know because of them.”
Furthermore, most social media users noted that there is no justice for Gabby Petito or her family with Laundrie being dead.
Other Brian Laundrie Discoveries
Additionally, one Twitter user noticed that Brian seemingly added a sticker to Gabby’s van after her death.
Social media users note that the case has helped other families. According to The Daily Mail, authorities found at least nine other bodies because of the ongoing hunt for Brian Laundrie. These discoveries hopefully helped families with an ounce of closure.
Petito’s family created the Gabby Petitio Foundation. The charity’s goal is to “address the needs of organizations that support locating missing persons and to provide aid to organizations that assist victims of domestic violence situations.”
Richard Stafford the Petito family spokesperson gave a brief statement to Fox News.
“They are grieving the loss of their beautiful daughter,” he said. “Gabby’s family will make a statement at the appropriate time and when they are emotionally ready.”
The FBI released statements regarding Brian Laundrie’s possessions and remains.
“These items were found in an area that up until recently had been under water,” FBI Special Agent Michael McPherson told NBC.
It was Chris and Roberta who told authorities where to look at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.
“Chris and Roberta Laundrie were at the reserve earlier today when human remains and some of Brian’s Steven Bertolino, Laundrie family attorney added.
