Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers knows how to have a good time. Even if it’s flashing a 12-pack of Bud Light in a pickup? Yep.
Rodgers happened to be caught on video by a Green Bay fan picking up the beer and showing it off. The TikTok clip happened to find its way onto “The Pat McAfee Show,” where Rodgers appears weekly as a guest.
Apparently, Rodgers was in the back of teammate David Bakhtiari’s pickup truck with the beer. McAfee asks A.J. Hawk, a former Packers’ teammate who was on McAfee’s show, to clear up any confusion around the video.
Was That Aaron Rodgers In The Truck? Hawk Thinks So
“I absolutely think that was him,” Hawk said. “You texted me that video and I instantly said yeah, he’s riding back to Lambeau from practice. That’s the little drive you have to make in your pads so he just hopped in the back of somebody’s truck.
“Obviously, they had a case of Miller Lite so why not flash it to the people filming it?” Hawk said.
“Let’s go ahead and assume that’s an offensive lineman’s truck, especially with the Miller Lite in the back of the truck,” McAfeee said. “That thing’s waiting for practice to end, you know what I mean?”
(Hawk and McAfee musts be rookies because Rodgers is clearly holding a case of Bud Light.)
Rodgers confirmed that it was him in the truck on Twitter.
Bakhtiari backed up Rodgers himself on Twitter, saying, “MVP’s ride in the trunk. #grit #footballguy”
People who have been to Green Bay, Wis., know that the city is absolutely bonkers about the Packers. It’s the only game in town and citizens there live and die every NFL season with their team.
Rodgers has been a star quarterback for the team. Seeing him in the back of a pickup truck, though, is something that TikTok user Amber Danette didn’t expect to happen. After all, it’s not every day you are going to see an NFL MVP in that type of position.
Rodgers Already Has Words For MVP Speech Written Out
In the meantime, Aaron Rodgers admits that he already has his NFL Most Valuable Player award speech written and ready to give.
The Packers lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game 31-26.
Despite the loss, Rodgers had another excellent outing as he threw for more than 300 yards and three touchdown passes. Now he did throw a costly interception in the contest. Rodgers, though, completed 68 percent of his passes and finished with a 101.6 passer rating.
Many people thought the Packers were going to the Super Bowl this season. Rodgers was a big reason for the successful season and now appears to be the front-runner for the MVP award. Rodgers already has come up with a few words to say should he win the award.
If he does indeed it, then it’ll be the third time for him to be named league MVP.
What will Rodgers say? Well, we’ll have to see if he wins the MVP award first.
