As one career ends, another continues to flourish for former Tampa Bay Buccaneer wide receiver, Antonio Brown. Earlier today, Brown’s coach, Bruce Arians, dismissed him from the team after the player refused to get back on the field – twice. So, Brown decided to strip off his jersey and pads on the sidelines of their game against the New York Jets. Now, Brown has just released a new single, “Pit Not the Palace.”

While the timing seems suspicious, most likely, it’s just a coincidence that his latest rap song came out on the same day as his episode at MetLife Stadium. Brown has released several songs in the past, including “Whole Lotta Money” which has more than 1.27 million listeners on Spotify.

Antonio Brown didn’t necessarily outright promote the new song just yet, but he did put the link in his Instagram bio.

Antonio Brown Has Also Promoted Clothing Line

While Antonio Brown kept fairly quiet about his new song, he did dedicate at least one Instagram post to his clothing line with Fashion NovaMEN.

Earlier today, following the game, Brown shared a photo of himself in head-to-toe camo, sitting on a bike helmet.

“Football is what we do, not who we are! Love @novamen #Boomin,” Brown captioned the photo.

Meanwhile, the Conversation Shifts From Comical to Critical

Originally, when the news of Antonio Brown’s actions broke during the game against the Jets, NFL fans were quick to make jokes about his unapologetic attitude.

It’s understandable that this was fans’ first response to the situation. Without any context, it just looks like a football player fed up with the game and his coach. So, he left in the most dramatic way possible.

However, the conversation quickly changed when fans of Antonio Brown pointed out that he was never the same after one especially brutal hit back when Brown played with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, he took a helmet straight to the skull. The hit left the wide receiver on the field for several minutes before the medical team could help him off the field. NFL watchers then pleaded for Brown to get the help he needs to ensure that the injuries he sustained on the field hadn’t caused any detrimental damage to his mental health.

Even Tom Brady spoke about the incident after Sunday’s game, advocating for his teammate’s wellbeing.

“I think everyone should find… hopefully do what they can to help him in ways that he really needs it,” Brady said about Antonio Brown. “You know, we all love him. We care about him deeply. We want to see him be at his best.”
