Bill Belichick Furiously Slams Phone in Patriots Loss to Buffalo Bills

The 2020 National Football League season has not gone the way New England Patriots head Bill Belichick planned.

Known to keep his emotions in check, Belichick let loose on the this week’s Monday Night Football. The Super Bowl-winning coach appears to be quite angry as he speaks on a telephone to another member of his team.

Belichick clearly must not have liked what he heard coming from the other end of the telephone. In a fit of rage, Belichick slams the phone down onto a nearby bench. The phone bounces off the bench like a rubber toy. It isn’t known who was on the other end of Belichick’s phone conversation, but the message is clear.

ESPN’s Monday Night Football’s camera crew captured the intense moment as it happened live. Check out the clip below of the incident.

Bill Belichick Shows Frustration Toward Patriots Season

While the exact reason for Belichick’s rage isn’t known, it is likely his team’s poor play has something to do with it. Something that Bill Belichick has not dealt with in quite some time.

The New England Patriots are 6-9 on the year and heading to their first losing season in years. The Patriots lost their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills, on Monday Night Football to the tune of a 38-9 final score.

The Patriots are in distant third place in the AFC East, trailing the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. With no shot at making the playoffs this season, the Pats will end their season this weekend against the New York Jets.

It is likely to be a long and grueling offseason for the New England Patriots. They will look to get back on track for next season after missing this year’s playoffs. With Belichick’s latest actions on Monday Night Football, perhaps investing in a new phone system is in order.
