Blaine Gabbert Hilariously Posts Picture with Tom Brady: ‘Gangsters Move in Silence’

Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert took to social media on Sunday night to post a picture with the GOAT himself, Tom Brady.

The nine-year veteran backup posted the picture of he and Brady walking down the tunnel together. He posted the picture after the Buccaneers beat the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in the NFC Championship Game.

But judging on how white their jerseys are still, it looks like the picture was taken before the game got started. Gabbert posted the photo along with a famous line from rapper Lil Wayne.

“Gangsters move in silence,” Gabbert wrote in the post.

Blaine Gabbert, Tom Brady, and their Buccaneer teammates are headed to the Super Bowl. This will be just the second time in team history that Tampa Bay has made it to the big game. The Bucs won their first trip to the Super Bowl in 2003 against the Oakland Raiders.

Also playing in the Bucs’ favor is that Super Bowl LV will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This makes the Buccaneers the first team to play in a Super Bowl in their home stadium.

Meanwhile, it’s been the future Hall of Famer, Brady, that’s led the Bucs to the franchise’s second Super Bowl birth. Blaine Gabbert has gotten only a few snaps throughout the season. Most recently he replaced Brady at quarterback for Tampa Bay in the second half of the Week 16 game against the Detroit Lions.

On Gabbert’s first pass attempt he was able to hit a wide-open Rob Gronkowski over the middle for a touchdown. It was his first score since 2018, and Gronk’s second of the game.

Blaine Gabbert Not the First to Quote Lil Wayne

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield made the same Lil Wayne reference when he was describing his teammate, defensive end Myles Garrett.

The Browns narrowly came out with a win earlier in the year against the Houston Texans. However, the low-scoring affair didn’t stop the Browns quarterback from giving one of the best quotes of the season. Mayfield was asked postgame by reporters about his teammate Myles Garrett’s performance.

The official Twitter account of the Cleveland Browns posted a video of Mayfield talking to reporters after the game. He referenced the famous rapper when talking about Garrett’s approach to the game.

“Myles took the approach, you know, that real G’s move in silence like lasagna,” Mayfield said.

Mayfield’s reference is to a Lil Wayne line in his song “6’7.” The line has gained popularity thanks to its cleverness and controversy. There has been a debate whether the “g” in “lasagna” is actually silent or not.
