Brittany Matthews is embracing life as baby Sterling’s mother. And she even showed off coordinating outfits with fiance Patrick Mahomes.
On Saturday, Matthews shared a photo of her and Mahomes, the star quarterback for Kansas City, posing in Fendi outfits. And she dropped a hint that when Sterling gets a bit older, the family will match even more.
“Yes we planned this,” Matthews wrote. “Just wait till Ster can wear cute outfits. #wewillmatcheverywhere.”
Matthews and Mahomes were posing on a couch. Each was wearing black and white Fendi. Matthews was wearing black leather pants, with a black top dotted with the white Fendi label. Mahomes sported black jeans, ripped at the knee, with a white shirt and the double F label in black.
Right after Matthews posted the photo, Mahomes replied “EVERYDAY.” And then Matthews quipped “hope ya don’t hate me yet.”
Brittany Matthews and Patrick Mahomes Became First-Time Parents Last Month
Baby Sterling was born Feb. 20. Since then, Matthews has used social media to document daily life as a young mother. Sterling is the first child of Matthews and Mahomes, both of whom are 25.
Matthews owns her own fitness company. In a post she made earlier this week, Matthews modeled exercise wear. And from those photos, she appears to have shed the baby weight she gained with Sterling. Matthews, a former pro soccer player, exercised throughout her pregnancy, including in the final week. So she was never out of shape.
Although it’s the NFL off-season, Mahomes has been busy, too. Earlier this week, he and his foundation announced a partnership with the HBCU Legacy Bowl. The game, which starts next year, will be an all-star game featuring players from historically Black college teams.
The game will allow these players to showcase their skills for NFL teams. It’s planned for the week after the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Other bowl partners are Tulane, the NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Earlier Saturday, Mahomes was in Brownwood, Texas, to attend a Howard Payne football game. His best friend Jake Parker is a receiver for Howard Payne, which saw its football season pushed to the spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Parker is set to be best man at the upcoming wedding of Mahomes and Matthews.
Mahomes and Matthews met while they were attending Whitehouse High School outside Tyler in East Texas. Mahomes played football for Texas Tech, while Matthews stuck close to home and competed in soccer for the University of Texas-Tyler. Tech already offered little Sterling a spot on the school’s soccer team.
