NASCAR star driver Bubba Wallace is super excited to get back behind the wheel of his car and race again.
Wallace, who became a household name in 2020, is a star on the rise and expects to compete well in the upcoming season. Using a clip from a popular comedy movie, the driver tries to sum up his excitement with a new social media post.
“Seven days until I head south,” he writes in the tweet’s caption space. “12 days until strapping into the car. Let’s go!!”
He includes a short clip from the hit comedy movie “Old School” to convey his feelings about the racing season starting up. The clip shows Will Ferrell’s character from the 2003 film also featuring Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson exclaiming “awesome” and “yes” before hilariously throwing a few punches and a jumping kick on some cereal boxes.
With well over 200,000 followers on Twitter, several of his fans felt Bubba Wallace’s energy and respond in kind. The social media post racked up more than 1,000 “likes” within an hour of going live. Many of his fans and social media followers use the comments section to wish Wallace a successful season.
Bubba Wallace to Participate in Pro Bowl, Daytona 500
Before Wallace heads down south to get the NASCAR Cup Series, he will be facing a new challenge. He will compete in this year’s version of the NFL Pro Bowl, which will be going virtual this year.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic still looming, National Football League officially decided to forego a normal Pro Bowl Game. The game typically features the best players from each team in each division competing against each other in a low stakes game. This year, however, it will feature players and celebrities battling it out on video game consoles, playing EA Sports’ “Madden NFL.”
Following his appearance in the 2021 “Pro Bowl,” Wallace will shift his full attention to the upcoming 63rd annual Daytona 500. The race will take place on February 14 at the Daytona International Speedway.
