College Football Week 1: How, When To Watch the Day’s Biggest Games

College football is finally back, and we’ve got the breakdown of how and when to watch some of the biggest games that will kick off on Saturday.

Technically, a handful of college football games have already been played. In fact, on Friday, we already had the first couple of upsets of the young season. No. 10 North Carolina fell to unranked Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Additionally, the Charlotte 49ers picked up their first victory ever against a Power 5 opponent when they upset Duke yesterday. However, Saturday brings us the first full day of Week 1 NCAA football, and the schedule does not disappoint.

Some of the top universities in the nation will face off against ranked opponents right out of the gate on Saturday. That may not bode well for whoever loses this early in the season, but it works out great for college football fans. As always, the SEC is leading the pack with a set of huge games today, including the defending national champions in No. 1 Alabama. Head coach Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide will take on No. 14 Miami, immediately testing their national championship hopes of repeating as champions this season.

In addition, we’ve already got a Top 5 matchup on our hands in primetime later tonight. The No. 3 Clemson Tigers will face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs as the other premier college football game of the day. Keep reading for more information on how and when to watch each of the huge NCAA Week 1 matchups along with many more games to crave our early season football needs.

How and Where to Watch Each College Football Game Today

Of course, most of the biggest college football games will air on major networks for those that haven’t cut the cord and switched to streaming services. Major networks like ABC, ESPN, and FOX will each air today’s games. Further, conference-specific networks like the SEC Network, Big Ten Network, Big 12 Network, and the Pac-12 Network will air their schools’ games.

Yet college football fans have many more options these days with streaming services for their big-screen TVs and other smart devices. Fans can watch most games throughout the college season through fuboTV’s streaming service. You can also get a free one-week trial here.

Each major network, including ESPN, ABC, CBS, and FOX, has their own streaming service as well. College football games scheduled to air on ABC or ESPN will stream on the ESPN app and ESPN’s website. Games on FOX will air on FOX Sports Go or FOX’s website. And every game on CBS will stream on Paramount+, which is the new version of CBS All Access.
