Former National Football League quarterback and current ESPN football analyst Dan Orlovsky is a multi-faceted talent on and off of the playing field. He also has a rather odd talent that is circulating around the internet and has made the former pro even more famous.
Dan Orlovsky played collegiate football at the University of Connecticut and saw a great deal of success on the field. His college football career went so well that the Detroit Lions made him their fifth-round draft choice in the 2005 NFL draft. Though mainly a backup quarterback throughout his career, he enjoyed a good deal of success through his 12 years in the league.
He played for a number of NFL teams including the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts. He also had stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams. His finals NFL numbers include a 58 percent completion rating, 15 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a career passer rating of 75.3.
Dan Orlovsky can also bark like a dog better than probably anyone you or I know. Yes, it is a strange talent to possess but it is Dan Orlovsky’s latest claim to fame. While no one wants to be remembered as the person who can bark most like a dog, the former quarterback’s special talent is uncanny. His ESPN cohort Mina Kimes shared Dan Orlovsky’s special talent with the world via social media earlier this week. Check out the video and tell me there is no dog in the room.
“Guys, I think I discovered Dan Orlovsky’s greatest talent,” Kimes says in a Twitter post.
Dan Orlovsky Shows of His Unique Hidden Talent
The video begins with Kimes explaining that she only recently learned of Dan Orlovsky’s barking gift. So impressed with her colleague’s talent, she knew she had to share it with the world. As you see and hear in the video, it is quite impressive what the former football player can do.
“Today I learned that Dan has an unbelievable skill,” she says in the video. “It is not giving takes. It’s not playing football. It is his ability to bark like a dog.”
After asking Kimes if she wants to hear it, Dan Orlovsky displays his dog impersonation — which is quite good. The performance leaves Kimes shocked and the look on her face is priceless.
After several social media users called out the video as fake, Dan Orlovsky and Kimes doubled down with a second barking video.
people think it’s fake so here he is doing it again I will never get over this pic.twitter.com/8FLW4EPgMp— Mina Kimes (@minakimes) September 14, 2021
“People think it’s fake so here he is doing it again,” Kimes says. “I will never get over this.”
While he didn’t make the NFL Hall of Fame — if there is a bark like a dog hall of fame then Dan Orlovsky is in hands down.
