Dana White on Likelihood of a Conor McGregor-Jake Paul Fight: ‘Zero Chance’

There is a slim chance of fans seeing Conor McGregor and Jake Paul face-off any time soon according to Dana White.

White, the President of the UFC, provided a definite no to the up-and-coming YouTubestar turned boxer in his desire to fight Conor McGregor.

In an exclusive with TMZ, White said, “Conor McGregor is one of the greatest fighters on Earth right now. He shouldn’t be fighting kids that have f**king YouTube videos.”

If it couldn’t get any more definite and heart-stomping for young Jake Paul, Dana White said “zero chance” of it ever happening.

Paul Versus Paul

So, unless Paul and McGregor fight it out in a makeshift backyard ring, the odds of seeing the fight on the big screen are slim.

It also seems like Jake Paul is just living in the shadow of his older brother. Logan Paul has successfully made it to the boxing community as well. Most recently, he has scored a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.

The two will face-off on Feb. 20, 2021. In addition to Mayweather, Paul has also boxed KSI.

As the two battle it out to enter the boxing scene, the most obvious contender is a little brotherly battle.

“Yes, I would fight him, but it wouldn’t be about the money … For me, it’s about proving to all of the younger brothers out there that you don’t have to be in the shadow of your older brother … most people would think he would beat me because he is bigger and looks more ripped. But I’m a real dog. He can catch that smoke eventually,” said Jake Paul in an interview.

Paul is 2-0 with his record against AnEsonGib and Robinson. Logan Paul has only fought against KSI professionally and lost.

While there is certainly a network and audience for these YouTuber boxers that will attract viewers and money, White is not up for it.

“There’s a market for these kinda fights. It’s just not what I do … There will be a day when Conor McGregor could do these types of fights and make a bunch of money … but it ain’t happening any time soon,” White said.

MMA star McGregor will face off on Jan. 23 against Dustin Poirier.
