Now that Kansas City has beaten Buffalo 38-24 for the AFC Championship, here come Chiefs fans like Clint Bowyer roasting “Bills Mafia” fans.
Bowyer, who made a name for himself turning left a lot on NASCAR tracks across America, posed a serious question to the Buffalo faithful on Twitter.
His reference to a folding table is around Bills fans’ proclivities toward breaking tables whether in pre-game festivities or post-game celebrations. Actually, it doesn’t matter to “Bills Mafia” members what the occasion is…they’ll just bust up a table for fun.
Kansas City now moves on to play Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 7. The Buccaneers beat the Green Bay Packers to advance in the NFC Championship Game.
Clint Bowyer now works as a NASCAR commentator for FOX Sports. He captured the Nationwide Series championship in 2008 while driving for Richard Childress Racing.
Clint Bowyer Is A Die-Hard Kansas City Sports Fan
He was part of the NASCAR Cup Series from 2005-2020, where he won 10 Series races and finished among the Top 10 drivers 226 times. In his last NASCAR season in 2020, he finished 12th in Cup Series points.
Throughout his career, Clint Bowyer drove for Richard Childress Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing, HScott Motorsports, and Stewart-Haas Racing.
But he’s a die-hard Kansas City sports fan, rooting not only for the Chiefs but MLB’s Kansas City Royals, too.
Bowyer was watching the Chiefs play Cleveland when quarterback Patrick Mahomes gets knocked out of the game.
Mahomes suffered a concussion. He had to sit out, leading to backup quarterback Chad Henne taking over and converting key plays to secure Kansas City’s 22-17 win over the Browns.
Clint Bowyer wished the Chiefs’ quarterback a speedy recovery.
“End of the day it’s really hard to keep watching games, races, whatever when someone gets hurt. Let’s all hope the most polarizing player on the planet is ok. That’s really all that matters. @PatrickMahomes.” he tweeted.
Obviously, Mahomes was well enough to play in the AFC Championship Game against Buffalo.
Bowyer, Friends Celebrate Retirement From NASCAR
Meanwhile, earlier this month a few of Bowyer’s friends gathered together for a retirement party. Among those gathered were Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Travis Tritt, and Guy Fieri.
Three of the four are known in the music world while Fieri has made his mark in the cooking world.
Now how would Fieri and Bowyer cross paths? Their friendship dates back to 2013.
That was when Bowyer met Fieri in Bowyer’s hometown of Kansas City for an episode of Fieri’s popular show, “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.” Clint Bowyer took the culinary star out to get some homegrown barbeque, Kansas City style, and it was a good time had by all.
They remain friends to this day, something Bowyer can’t say about all of those Buffalo Bills fans he was ribbing Sunday night.
