More known for his play on the field, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot is also great off the field.

Elliott is having an excellent season on the field as he seeks his fourth 1,000 yard rushing season in his career. Heading into the final weekend of the NFL season, the running back has 937 yards and five touchdowns. He also assists the Cowboys’ passing game with 49 receptions on the year.

Though the Cowboys have not had the season many thought they would, they find themselves still in the playoff hunt. The team is 6-9 on the year and in second place in the NFC East. They will wrap up their 2020 season this weekend against division foes, the New York Giants. A win combined with a Washington Football Team loss would push the Cowboys into the NFL playoffs.

Ezekiel Elliot is Dallas Media’s ‘Good Guy’ Winner

Known throughout the league as “Zeke,” Elliot recently received recognition for his cooperation with the media. He took to social media on Wednesday to share his “Good Guy” award news with his fans and followers.

Elliott tweets a simple emoji to express his appreciation for the Good Guy Award along with quotes explaining why he is this year’s winner. The award goes to the Cowboys player who cooperates best with Dallas area media representatives. It is voted on by the local chapter of the Professional Football Writers of America.

Dallas sports media writers say Zeke was always consistent with the media regardless of how he or his team performed.

“Zeke was as consistent with the media as he was on the field in 2020,” Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram said. “Despite obvious challenges due to the pandemic, some personal disappointments and the team’s rollercoaster season, he showed up time and time again – after every game and during the week – answering questions virtually with a positive attitude. He was the first player to make himself available after each game. For those reasons, Elliott was named the 2020 Good Guy award winner by the Dallas chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America.”
