Gisele Bundchen has been one of the top models in the world for nearly 20 years. All that fame and beauty doesn’t mean her life is without drama, however.
Gisele Bundchen married six-time NFL Super Bowl champion Tom Brady in 2009. The power couple has two children together, 8-year-old Vivian Lake and 11-year-old Benjamin. In addition, Tom Brady has another child with a different woman.
Tom Brady’s Prior Relationship
Brady dated actor and model Bridget Moynahan before they “amicably ended their three-year relationship” in December of 2006. By February, Moynahan’s representative announced that she was pregnant with Tom Brady’s child. By August, Moynahan gave birth to the now 13-year-old John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan.
The issue? Gisele Bundchen was already dating Tom Brady for a few months when the news broke of his soon-to-be-child with his ex. She says that this was one of the more challenging times their relationship has endured.
“It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking, I’m dating this guy, we met, and we started dating, and everything is great, and then this happens,” Bundchen admits to CBS This Morning. “I didn’t know what to do. It was kind of one of those moments of like, ‘do I just run away?’ I think it was very challenging for everyone involved. I think, you know, eight years later, we have a great relationship… it all worked out in the end, but it was a tough time.”
Gisele Bundchen and Ex Support Brady
Although the two look happily supportive of one another on social media, they aren’t the only ones sharing the love. Brady’s ex took to Instagram to share her congratulations for his Super Bowl run this year.
The photos feature a picture of Tom Brady smiling on the field after a victory and Brady talking to his son, Jack, after the game.
The same day, Gisele Bundchen posted her and their children’s excitement for Tom Brady’s win. Gisele, Vivan, and Benjamin all wear red and white Tampa Bay Buccaneers jerseys and beam with joy.
“We are already cheering here, papai! We love you! Let’s go, @tombrady!! Let’s go, Bucs!!”
Tonight, Tom Brady will try for his seventh Super Bowl ring. First, he has to beat the defending champions, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The kickoff is at 5:30 CT.
