NBA star James Harden finally found himself traded from the Houston Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets after pushing for a trade. However, getting what he wanted is coming with consequences. Besides the ire of several NBA fans, Harden also has burned many bridges with former teammates and, of course, the Rockets.

And now Rockets fans are bombing his new restaurant with bad Google reviews as payback.

James Harden Disses His Own Team

Earlier this week, Harden slammed his own team in a post-game interview. After the team lost to the Lakers 117-100, Harden said “we’re just not good enough” and added that it can’t be helped.

The next day, head coach Stephen Silas had to explain why Harden wasn’t at practice Wednesday.

“We felt it was best for the group and best for James not to come to practice,” Silas said.

Some of Harden’s teammates chimed in, with John Wall saying, “Come on, man, you want to jump off the cliff after nine games?”

DeMarcus Cousins added, “The disrespect started way before. This isn’t something that all of a sudden started last night.”

But even as he’s bound for Brooklyn, Harden is still pursuing his plan to open an upscale restaurant in Houston.

The restaurant, named “Thirteen,” after Harden’s jersey number, is scheduled to open to the public later this month.

Restaurant Barraged By Negative Reviews

According to Eater, during his time in Houston, Harden has frequented popular Houston restaurants. Just a few include Turkey Leg Hut, La Griglia and Taste Bar and Kitchen. He has said his favorite local restaurant is Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse. His personal restaurant, Thirteen, will reportedly offer artery-clogging comfort food.

Representatives for the restaurant said in a statement that they are going ahead with plans to open the restaurant in spite of the trade.

“Thirteen Restaurant will still be opening at the end of this month,” they said. “Our entire staff and team are looking forward to providing top-notch service and bringing a one-of-a-kind dining experience to Houston. We are looking forward to sharing our extensive menu and beautiful restaurant with the city.”

But before it’s even opened, the negative reviews are already pouring in, TMZ reports.

Rockets fans posted a slew of hostile reviews of the restaurant, saying it’s “literal trash just like James Harden” and it “doesn’t quite have that championship taste.”

And that’s not the only way Rockets fans are bidding Harden adieu. A Houston car wash is offering locals a free car wash if they give up their old James Harden jersey.

Now that’s a nice trade.
