Golf champion Kevin Kisner recently shared a picture alongside country music star Cole Swindell. Though the two weren’t just posing for any random reason. The stars were sharing a bit of whiskey goodness together. But not just any whiskey. The highly coveted Pappy Van Winkle.
In a Twitter post, the golf pro shared a photo with a group of friends including the “Chillin’ It” singer himself.
“Name this boy band….wrong answers only,” Kisner tweeted.
Fans of the sports star did not disappoint. They came back with clever – and not so clever responses.
“Easiest one ever. The Osmonds,” one person responded, alongside a picture of the wholesome singing group. Another posted, “Mormon Tabernacle Choir,” implying the group’s innocent look.
However, others commented on the expensive whiskey choice. Pappy Van Winkle is ranked as one of the top whiskies. However, if you’re going to be drinking it, prepare to pay a hefty price. Owned by the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery, and distilled in Frankfort, Kentucky, the bourbon is regarded as one of the finest in the world.
Depending on the year, Pappy Van Winkle can cost anywhere between $2300 and more than $5000. So the fact that Kisner and friends were drinking it means they had a few dollars to spare. Perhaps they’ll need a boyband hit in order to pay for it. But between Kisner’s and Swindell’s fortune, we think they’ll be just fine.
Cole Swindell Shares Drink After Mom’s Passing
Speaking of family and friends having good times, we’re glad to see Cole Swindell has reason to celebrate. The country star recently lost his mom – and he wasn’t shy about speaking about her life and love.
“She’s the one that keeps me humble. She’s the one that, no matter how stressed out I get, if I wanna be here or wanna be there, she is always the first person to remind me, ‘Come on, Cole. Think about it. Me and you would have never thought you’d be where you are right now.’ I always say that, but I mean it because it takes someone like her to put it all in perspective,” Swindell said speaking to Pop Culture.
He added about his mom:
“This world, this business, it keeps you on the ground, always wondering what’s next, instead of thinking about, ‘Look at what we’ve done.’ She’s always the one that’s the first to remind me, and I can’t thank her enough.”
It looks as if the singer is getting back to feeling like himself. His mother passed away in September and it devastated Swindell. Additionally, his father passed away unexpectedly in 2013.
