by Samantha Whidden

Over the weekend, a video surfaced online of basketball superstar LeBron James pushing a fan away from him after they approached him at an Usher concert.

Ahn Fire Digital shared the video on its Twitter account. “LeBron spotted at an Usher concert pushing a fan,” was the caption. James is seen pushing the fan as he and who looks like his wife, Savannah James, leaving the concert venue.

Twitter users reacted to LeBron James’ actions towards the fan, with one tweeting “that’s literally assault” while another writing, “Jordan would never.”

Some users of the social media platform also stood up for LeBron James. One Twitter user stating, “It looks like his wife is with him… and he was protecting his wife. How sad our society no longer even recognizes a MAN who puts the safety of his family over everything else. People need to have some decency and respect… you don’t run up on someone like that!”

“I see nothing wrong,” another Twitter user adds. “It was just natural instincts or reflex. For all he know, it could’ve been someone about to stab him or throw something on him.”

LeBron James Shares Details About ‘Space Jam 2’

In a March 2021 interview with Entertainment Weekly, LeBron James shares details about his movie Space Jam 2.

“There were a lot of films for me, but Space Jam was definitely up there [while I was growing up],” LeBron explains. He also describes the movie as a “very organic blend” between Michael Jordan’s and the Looney Tunes’ world.

“It was fun to see what MJ and Bugs and Taz and all those great toons were able to go through in that first movie,” LeBron James goes on. He then discusses how people were talking about him starring in the film 15 years ago. “I didn’t think I was ready to do anything of that magnitude. I wanted to continue to focus on my game.”

When asked if he talked to Michael Jordan about starring in Space Jam 2, LeBron James answers, “No, I haven’t had a conversation with Mike about Space Jam, but I hope to if he gets an opportunity to see the movie. I did my best to continue it.”

LeBron James also describes Space Jam 2 as not a sequel, proclaiming that the film is its own movie with a different twist. “But to be able to just be in the Space Jam world, it’s something that Mike created and is his. I respect that, and I held that with lots of responsibility.”

Space Jam 2 came out in theaters and HBO Now at the beginning of July. According to its IMDb description, the film follows LeBron James who teams up with Bugs Bunny to win a basketball game and save his son from a rogue artificial intelligence.

Starring alongside LeBron James in the film are Don Cheadle, Cedric Joe, and Khris Davis.
