Patrick Mahomes’ rise to NFL stardom has been quite a whirlwind.
At just 25 years old, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has a laundry list of accomplishments that include a Super Bowl win, being awarded the title of MVP, and landing a 10-year contract worth upwards of $500 million.
However, Mahomes couldn’t have done it without his parents’ help along the way.
While we know Mahomes got his talent for tossing the rock from his father, Patrick Mahomes II, who pitched for major league baseball teams such as Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
However, what about his mother?
Meet Randi Martin
Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Martin, was born in 1976 in Tyler, Texas. Like Mahomes and his father Pat, she too became an athlete when she became a cheerleader while attending Texas High School.
After graduating from high school, she met Mahome’s father, and they got married not long after her graduation. On Sept. 17, 1995, Randi became a mother to Patrick Mahomes Jr.
The couple had a good run, and Randi was a supportive wife throughout her husband’s baseball career.
Even though they divorced, they continue to make their kids a priority and didn’t let their differences stand in the way of being good parents. Even today, the two continue to have a friendly relationship, often attending sporting events together.
Randi and Pat welcomed their second child, Jackson Mahomes, in 2000.
The younger Mahomes brother had also seen his fair share of fame. Instead of on the field, he found stardom when he gained over 700,000 followers on the social media video platform TikTok.
The 44-year-old also has a daughter, Mia Randall, from another relationship.
Mahomes Jr. often includes his parents and siblings on his Instagram page with heartwarming photos and heartwarming captions.
Randi is also very active on Instagram and has over 38 thousand followers. The events coordinator has over 2500 posts and usually shares pictures of her kids, birthdays, and family trips.
Despite the newfound fame, Randi continues to prioritize her kids and their success. In a previous interview, Randi gushed about how her son is truly living out his dream.
“It’s truly been a blessing,” she told KSHB. “I tell him that all the time. [It’s] a blessing that, you know, little boys dream about. He’s gotten to actually live a dream. So, you know, we take it – I take it one day at a time and try to enjoy it. It is a little overwhelming.”
