Michael Strahan is sharing the same reaction a lot of people watching ‘The Match: Champions for Change” on TV are having, too. Charles Barkley, winning at golf?

Well, that was the case in the televised contest on Friday at the Stone Canyon Golf Club in Arizona.

Barkley, who is an NBA analyst for TNT, teamed up with Phil Mickelson to defeat Stephen Curry and Peyton Manning.

Strahan, who, by the way, is an NFL Hall of Famer and co-host of Fox Sports’ “Fox NFL Sunday,” shared his thoughts while watching Barkley.

In an Instagram post, Strahan shared what “The Match” will mean for HBCUs in the United States.

According to TNT, The Match “will contribute toward and will highlight diversity, equality, and inclusion through donations to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) while raising awareness and spotlighting opportunities for diversity and equality in sports.”

Putting The Heat On ‘Sir Charles’

Another key point to make is that Barkley has been playing better.

His “NBA on TNT” cohorts, Ernie Johnson Jr., Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith, tried to throw Barkley off of his game.

O’Neal and Barkley had this bit of banter take place as Barkley was mic’ed up for the event.

Anyway, it didn’t matter to Barkley as he conversely went ahead and played through the background noise.

In the end, Barkley and Mickelson pull out the victory.

Michael Strahan Had A Pre-Thanksgiving Message

On the positive side, prior to celebrating Thanksgiving, Strahan offered some encouraging words to his Twitter followers.

As a result, he further urged them to additionally reach out and tell family and friends that you love them.

“So get on those Facetimes, those Skypes, I don’t care if you have to text, do whatever you’ve got to do, you just let them know you love them,” he said.
