Michael Thomas Gets Roasted by Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Carlton Davis After Call Out

And here. We. Go. Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas just learned what happens if you dog Tampa CB Carlton Davis real fast.

Carlton Davis: Serving up Class-A comebacks since 1996. The Buccaneers cornerback just slapped back with the best response, and the Bleacher Report is sporting it proudly on Twitter.

“Michael Thomas went at Carlton Davis for his coverage on Davante Adams, then Davis fired back,” Bleacher Report captions the share.

“Biggg slant,” Michael Thomas tweets with several mocking emojis. The Saints wide receiver’s slam comes straight for Carlton Davis for his “coverage” of Davante Adams. But Davis is having None. Of. it.

Replying directly to Thomas at @cantguardmike, Davis fires right back with “I bodied you 3 games in a row lil dude in cover 1 goofball!” Youch. And he’s not finished, either. “And Ima’ dawg yo lil ass again next year so you better work on them routes!”

That’s gonna leave a mark.

Carlton Davis vs Michael Thomas

Let’s take a look at what has Davis calling Thomas “lil dude,” shall we? For starters, the 24-year-old Tampa Bay CB stands at 6-1, coming in at 206 lbs.

Carlton Davis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

CB, #24

  • Experience: 3 years
  • Height: 6-1
  • Age: 24
  • Weight: 206 lbs
  • College: Auburn

As for Michael Thomas, the 27-year-old Saints WR is 6-3 and weighs 212 lbs, so… wait. He’s… taller, heavier, older, and has more experience than Davis… Awkward.

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints

WR, #13

  • Experience: 5 years
  • Height: 6-3
  • Age: 27
  • Weight: 212 lbs
  • College: Ohio State

Only time will tell, however, if this gets Thomas fired up enough to clap back with some “lil dawg” comments of his own. Fittingly, e’s no stranger to callouts himself.

Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints took time from watching the NFC Championship Game to share playing tips and maybe throw shade,” says Outsider‘s own Joe Rutland.

“Thomas, whose Saints’ team lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC divisional-round playoff game, offered some wisdom for quarterbacks facing defenses,” Rutland continues. “Mind you, Thomas might also be covertly calling out longtime Saints quarterback Drew Brees with his words.”
