Minnesota Vikings’ Kirk Cousins Opens Up About Adam Thielen’s Growth: ‘He’s Never Looked Back’

The Minnesota Vikings are in the midst of a disappointing season but even with a losing record, they have a playoff chance. Coming off of a one-point victory over the Carolina Panthers they have five wins to six losses on the season. They are currently in second place in the competitive NFC North division.

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is having a decent year statistically for the team from Minnesota. On the year, Cousins is completing just over 68 percent of his passes. Further, he has 2,768 yards through the air and has thrown 23 touchdowns to only 11 interceptions. His current quarterback rating on the season is 104.5. That is well above his career QBR of 97.5.

One of Cousins’ favorite target this season is Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen. The receiver has 49 catches on the season and 646 receiving yards. In addition, Thielen has caught 11 touchdown passes from Cousins this year.

Coming off his best game of the season against the Dallas Cowboys, the receiver was put on the COVID-19 Reserve list. The move to include Thielen on the reserve list was made on November 23. The Vikings took him off the COVID-19 Reserve earlier this week.

Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Joins Pat McAfee Show

Cousins joined the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to talk all things Minnesota Vikings football. The quarterback praises Thielen in the interview for his determination in returning to his team as soon as possible. He also says Thielen “never looked back” after being placed on the list.

“When I got Minnesota in 2018, he was already a pro bowler,” Cousins says of his receiver. “All I have known in these three seasons is Adam being consistent and productive.”

The Vikings are set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend.
