Bubba Wallace is sending a message to a long-time friend and supporter Jimmie Johnson as the NASCAR legend retires.
Bubba Wallace is joining fellow NASCAR drivers and is sending a heartfelt message to Jimmie Johnson. Johnson announced his retirement at the end of last year’s racing season. Furthermore, as his last laps near, support has been racing in for the seven-time champion.
Wallace starts by writing, “To the guy I’ve idolized.” He continues with how Johnson has been a class-act on and off the track. He finishes up with that he’s proud to call Johnson his friend and, “Thanks JJ!🤟🏾”
Johnson and Wallace have their history. As a matter of fact, Johnson spoke up about racial injustice in the U.S., as well as NASCAR. In a previous interview, Johnson shares his thoughts on the matter, “With George Floyd’s passing, I just started talking about that topic. I realized in that conversation that Bubba today deals with things that I’ve never dealt with,” said Johnson.
