NASCAR: Bubba Wallace Rolling Out the ‘Frybox 2.0’ During Saturday’s Race at Bristol Motor Speedway

Bubba Wallace may not be one of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs drivers this year, but he sure is still finding a way to put attention on himself out on the track.

He is rolling out in his new “Frybox 2.0” car for the Bristol Motor Speedway Race happening on Saturday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m. It’s called the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

Bubba Wallace and Upcoming Cup Series Race

Bubba Wallace’s new 23XI Racing car is paying an epic homage to one of his sponsors, which is McDonald’s. It features the McDonald’s arch logo right on the entire hood of the car.

The car is also painted red, yellow, and white and has the No. 23 plastered on the top and sides. From a top view, the car looks like a massive fry container, which will soon be whipping around a track at about 200 mph.

Bubba Wallace just barely missed qualifying for the playoffs. He finished second but needed to be in first place in order to get in as one of the top 16 drivers.

Now, we are amidst the 10-race postseason. The end of the first round is directly after the Bristol Motor Speedway race. Moving on from the 16-driver races, the playing field will shrink to 12. It’s all going to come down to winning and points during this final stretch.

The current standings are Denny Hamlin with 2,127 points and one win. Martin Truex Jr. is in second with 2,113 points and one win as well. Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, and Kevin Harvick are the others bringing in the top six.

As for Bubba Wallace, he’s looking forward to a new and exciting season next year. Kurt Busch, a 23-year Cup Series veteran, will be joining 23XI Racing as the team’s second driver.

Bristol Motor Speedway

Bubba Wallace’s new No. 23 isn’t the only exciting part of the Bristol Motor Speedway race.

Foody City is teaming up with the Bristol Motor Speedway in order to provide support for relief efforts after the flooding that happened in Hurley, Virginia.

The Speedway is donating a truckload of water to the Hurley community, according to The Rogersville Review. It is also encouraged for those visiting for the race to bring cleaning supplies and bottled water with them to donate.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by the torrential flooding and severe outages in Hurley. Just as we’ve done in the past, when we see a neighbor in need, we want to lend a helping hand. We’re grateful to our partners at Food City for rallying us all together to help support those affected by these difficult circumstances,” Jerry Caldwell, the executive vice president of Bristol Motor Speedway, said.
