New York Jets fans, after sitting through another loss and seeing their team stay winless this season, aren’t buying postgame comments from Head Coach Adam Gase.
On Sunday, Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick lit up the Jets for 257 yards and two touchdowns in a 20-3 victory.
Additionally, notice that the Jets’ offense only managed a field goal.
Gase faced the music, and reporters, after the game.
Furthermore, he insisted that he did not take over calling the offense’s plays.
For your listening pleasure, here is Gase at his postgame press conference.
Fans Express Displeasure With Gase, Jets
Meanwhile, after watching the game, Jets’ fans let their emotions run wild on Twitter.
Further, they were not putting up with Gase’s comments.
New York Jets Hotseat Just Keeps Getting Hotter
While Gase made his case that he didn’t take over calling the offensive plays, it didn’t seem to matter as quarterback Sam Darnold continued to flounder.
According to a game story in the New York Post, “The Jets starting quarterback returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games with a shoulder injury.
“It was the first game of the season that he played with the Jets’ top three receivers, something the team hoped would lead to better production from the third-year quarterback. Instead, it was more of the same from Darnold, who threw two interceptions and failed to get the ball into the end zone in a 20-3 loss to the Dolphins.
“The loss drops the Jets to 0-11, the worst record in franchise history through 11 games. The 11-game losing streak is second in franchise history, behind only the 12-game streak in the 1995-96 seasons.”
Darnold was listed as doubtful for an earlier Jets’ game this season on Monday Night Football.
Obviously, his play was less than stellar for the Jets on another losing Sunday afternoon.
