It’s never a bad time to practice oral hygiene. Just ask Buffalo Bills’ Stefon Diggs after he was spotted flossing his teeth on the sidelines during Sunday’s game.

The Bills’ wide receiver was caught on video flossing after Buffalo made a touchdown in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs’ Literally Flosses on Miami

We’ve seen athletes perform the dance craze “flossing” and other forms of celebratory dances after making a touchdown. However, this is the first time a player has been seen actually practicing preventative dental care in the midst of a game.

The image captured by CBS cameras proved to add a unique spin on sports broadcasting as longtime announcer Kevin Harlan gave a play-by-play description of Stefon Diggs’ cleaning his teeth.

The Importance of Dental Hygiene

Harlan is a well-known sports broadcaster in the business. Therefore, he sure wasn’t going to let this moment go to waste without an epic announcement.

“Dental hygiene is something to take note of, kids! There’s never a bad time to floss,” said Harlan without missing a beat.

Hilarity ensued online with fans taking to Twitter and other social media sites in response to what they’d just witnessed.

Week 17: Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins

As the Bills led 7-3 against the Dolphins, it appears Diggs’ wasn’t as worried about the game as he was about taking care of his gums.

Diggs’ performance with the Bills this season is leading to massive achievements worthy of flashing his pearly whites while smiling. Upon entering Week 17, he is leading the NFL in receiving with 120 catches and 1,459 yards.

He continues to add to that total, while gaining six catches for 60 yards in the first half of the game against the Miami Dolphins.

If the Buffalo Bills win, they will land the No. 2 spot. However, the Dolphins must beat the opposing team to secure a spot in the playoffs.
