Legendary NFL Quarterback Tom Brady didn’t have his best day at the office Monday night against the New York Giants.

Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers were down to the one-win Giants when his frustration boiled over. The future NFL Hall-of-Famer just took a sack and went to the sideline when he took his anger out on his helmet. ESPN cameras caught the moment as Brady threw a momentary tantrum amongst his teammates.

The 43-year-old, now playing in his 21st NFL season, went to his team’s sidelines repeatedly slamming his helmet on a metal bench. Clearly furious with his team’s play, Brady’s helmet took the brunt of his anger.

Brady is known for his competitive mentality and in some instances that competitive nature is enough to will his team to a victory. He is also known to have a short fuse when things aren’t going his way at times. At his age and with his success in the league, he is allowed to have the occasional tantrum.

Social Media Reacts to Brady Incident

A similar incident occurred a few weeks ago when the Bucs were playing the Chicago Bears, according to USA Today. Brady was screaming at his offensive linemen after a drive that ended with a punt. The drive failed due to a couple of holding calls, an unnecessary roughness call, an offensive pass interference call, and a sack.

The rest of his teammates must have gotten Brady’s helmet slamming message as the team won the second half of the game. In true Brady fashion, the Bucs’ offense rallied late in the game.

With Brady at the helm, the team scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to put away the Giants. The win improves Tampa Bay’s overall record to 6-2 as they are now one of the hottest teams in the NFC. Many football fans and analysts say the Bucs might be the early favorites to represent the NFC in this year’s Super Bowl.

Social media users definitely took notice of Brady’s fit. Twitter lit up with reactions to TB12′ s meltdown. Many found the quarterback’s actions to be funny while others question if Brady was sending the wrong message. Some even point out that the Giants have given Brady trouble previously.
