NFL: Shannon Sharpe Trolls Tom Brady after Sunday Night Football Loss

After a brutal loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, former NFL receiver, Shannon Sharpe, got after Tom Brady on Twitter. The Buccaneers quarterback had a pretty good game statistically, but the effort couldn’t bring home a win. Brady threw for 345 yards and three touchdowns against the Chiefs. He also threw two interceptions on the night.

“Had some leftover L’s from Thanksgiving,” Sharpe said in the tweet.

The picture shows Shannon Sharpe serving Tom Brady a flaming “L” on a plate. Based on his expression, Brady does not appreciate the gift. Sharpe seems to have also photoshopped Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes’ hair onto his own head.

While the Chiefs jumped out to an early 20-7 lead, the game ended with just a three-point deficit. Tom Brady turned on the gas in the fourth quarter, throwing two touchdown passes to Mike Evans. The Buccaneers pulled within four with four minutes left in the game, but the defense couldn’t stop Mahomes and company.

Tom Brady with the Buccaneers

Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the offseason after a 19-year career with the New England Patriots. The Buccaneers also went out and brought Brady’s favorite target, tight end Rob Gronkowski, out of retirement.

Since signing with the Buccaneers, Tom Brady has put up numbers that don’t reflect his age. The 43-year-old already surpassed his touchdown total from last year and is one away from matching his total from two years ago.

While he has had some less-than-perfect games that cause some to think he may be past his prime, he has just as many games that remind us of the player that led the Patriots to win a record six Superbowls. Brady has a chance to lead the Buccaneers to a Superbowl of their own, but that road has plenty of obstacles along the way. The final obstacle will likely be the Kansas City Chiefs.
