Rams star Aaron Donald is reportedly facing charges after he allegedly attacked a man that has posted photos of his injuries.

The 29-year-old Pittsburgh native is currently playing as the defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams. Standing at 6’1″ and weighing in at 284 pounds, Aaron Donald was selected 13th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Rams.

Prior to his professional career, Donald excelled at football while playing at the University of Pittsburgh from 2010 until 2013.

Aaron Donald’s Alleged Attack

Currently, Aaron Donald is facing legal issues after allegedly assaulting a man last week.

According to KDKA-TV, “Just before the noon, Hollis and Spriggs arrived at the Pittsburgh Police Zone 3 station in Arlington to file charges against Donald.”

“Pittsburgh attorney Todd Hollis intends to file criminal charges on behalf of De Vincent Spriggs against Donald for an alleged assault that Hollis said occurred between 3-4 a.m. local time on April 11.”

Todd Hollis also spoke to TMZ Sports, telling the news source that the issue allegedly started after 26-year-old Spriggs accidentally bumped into Aaron Donald while the two were at a nightclub on the South Side of town.

Both men were then asked to leave the club. Outside, Hollis notes that Aaron Donald apparently “got aggressive” with Spriggs.

Officials brought Spriggs to a local hospital and treated his injuries. He requested police to conduct a full investigation into the situation. According to TMZ, Hollis’s injuries include a very swollen eye that has suffered “severe trauma,” a broken eye socket and nose, a concussion as well as 16 stitches.

KDKA-TV reporter tweeted a photo of De Vincent Spriggs. He claims that the injuries were the result of Aaron Donald’s assault.

The Los Angeles Rams Respond

The Los Angeles Rams responded to the conflict involving their player. “We are collecting more information and will have no further comment at this time.”

Hollis did most of the talking on his client’s behalf. He noted that Spriggs was not from the Pittsburgh area. However, he did not specify a location. Spriggs also had his arm in a sling.

The only comment De Vincent Spriggs made was in response to Andy Sheehan’s question if Aaron Donald assaulted him. “Yes, I was,” Spriggs responded.
