With what is currently the best record in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers own some bragging rights over the rest of the league. Now, one of their defensive linemen is throwing shade on their opponent before today’s matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

Stephon Tuitt, a defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers, decided to engage in a little pregame smack talk. While Tuitt won’t participate in the game due to being put on the COVD-19 reserve list, he is quick to point out the Ravens will be missing key players.

In a social media post, Tuitt says the game will be an opportunity to “pad the stats” for his Steelers’ teammates.

“Good luck to the boys today,” he says. “Pad the stats — should be an easy one. Eyeing my return for next week against Washington where I should catch up. I say it because I believe it.”

The Ravens are a little short-handed today against the Steelers with numerous starters expecting to miss the game. Among star players sitting out the game is Quarterback Lamar Jackson, Running Backs Mark Ingram, and J.K. Dobbins, as well as defensive end Calais Campbell. The game has been rescheduled multiple times before it was decided by NFL officials to play it in the middle of the week.

NFL Fans React to Tuitt’s Comments

Though the game between two of the league’s top teams is interesting enough, Tuitt’s comments added even more fuel to the fire. Fans of both the Steelers and Ravens chimed in on the defensive lineman’s comments and the battle between the rival teams.
