Olivia Culpo may be better known than Christian McCaffrey, her football-playing boyfriend for the Carolina Panthers. Her social media followers certainly think so — all 4.7 million of them. She also posted photos of herself with McCaffrey later Sunday. The photos are from their Mexican vacation. Culpo tagged the Waldorf Astoria, a five-star resort in Cabo San Lucas. That’s where the two are staying.

Culpo is the former Miss Universe who now is a fashion designer, social media influencer and also models. That’s why her fans get so many photos of Culpo modeling everything from bikinis to street style to avant-garde gowns.

This time a year ago, before the pandemic shut down most travel, Culpo appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Models Jasmine Sanders and Kate Bock joined Culpo on the cover. That’s a big-time assignment for a model, considering the SI Swimsuit edition is dripping in pop culture.

McCaffery and Culpo became an It couple when they started dating in 2019. She’s used to being linked to high-profile men, particularly from the sports world. Prior to her romance with McCaffrey, she dated former New England Patriot receiver Danny Amendola. She also dated Tim Tebow. Culpo also had a relationship with pop star Nick Jonas.

Her career is surging. Christian McCaffrey, though, struggled last season with injuries to his ankle, leg and shoulder. After an All-Pro year in 2019, McCaffrey played in only three games in 2020, rushing 59 times for 225 yards. He also caught only 17 passes for 149. Compare that to the season before when he rushed for more than 1,000 yards and caught passes for more than a 1,000 yards.

Olivia Culpo also is celebrating her second fashion line with Macy’s. She designed it with her two sisters. The line is more affordable than most of the clothes she models. But the outfits still look expensive.

The three Culpo sisters discussed the line last week.

“This collection is a lot more fashion-forward than some of our other more comfy, cozy collections,” Olivia Culpo said. “There are a lot of really amazing silhouettes and structured shoulders. I also love the color palette for this drop with the denim and nudes.”

Added Aurora Culpo: The good news is a lot of the styles come in a few colors so it was really just choosing colors for each other. I tend to wear a lot of lighter colors and whites, Olivia loves her nude tones and Sophia looks amazing in black so it actually worked out really well.”
