With the NFL set to kick off the 2021-2022 regular season on Sunday (September 12th), former tennis pro Paige Spiranac is showing her excitement by showing off her favorite professional football team.
“NFL is back! Who is your pick to win it all this year?” Paige Spiranac wrote in an Instagram post. She also shared a snapshot of her donning a Pittsburgh Steelers shirt with a black bra and shorts.
Spiranac’s followers didn’t disappoint with their picks. Some followers were all about the Cleveland Browns while others were rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. Some followers did criticize Spiranac by stating she’s from Denver and should be rooting for the Broncos. She mainly shrugged off those comments.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are notably set to play the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. Other teams playing today include the Minnesota Vikings against the Cincinnati Bengals; the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions; Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs; and the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.
Paige Spiranac Talks the ‘Perfect Personality’ For Golf
During a 2015 interview with Esquire, Paige Spiranac opened up about which type of personality is good for golf. “Golf’s a gentlemen’s game. So it’s all about integrity and you cheer on other people. It’s kind of different from other sports where you just want to beat everyone.”
Spiranac also describes herself as competitive, but not overly competitive. “When someone plays really well, I get really, really excited for them,” the former tennis pro gushed. She then compares golf to gymnastics, which she was also previously involved in. “In gymnastics, you have judges. So when you perform, the only way that you can get on the podium or win is to have the cues think that you’re good enough. But in golf, it’s all up to you.”
When asked what else she loves about golf, Paige Spiranac stated being on a golf course helps her relax. “Whenever I’m stressed out of having a bad day, the one thing that gets me happy or back into like a good place of mind is being on the golf course.”
Spiranac then said that the sport is so peaceful and it helps calm her down. “Even though sometimes golf is so frustrating that I want to throw my clubs in the water, there’s just something about it that humbles you.”
Besides golfing, Spiranac stated that she really enjoys spending time with her friends during her free time. “We go paintballing or we like to trampoline or rock climb. One of my favorite things to do is go to comic book stores. I’m a huge comic book nerd.”
