Patrick Mahomes and his fiancé Brittany Matthews are living in the lap of luxury in their nearly $2 million home in Kansas City.
The 25-year-old recently signed a 10-year contract extension for an unimaginable $503 million so this purchase won’t be too much of a dent in his wallet.
Patrick Mahomes & His $1.8 Million Kansas City Home
Patrick and Brittany recently announced the news they will be welcoming a new addition to the family. Their $1.8 million Kansas City home featuring three bedrooms and 2.5 baths is perfect for a family of three.
The location is perfect for the two since it’s located 20 minutes away from Arrowhead Stadium. The stadium is where he and his teammates practice and play home games.
Mahomes purchased the home for approximately $2 million in February 2019. According to the New York Post, it was originally built in 1953 and includes around $500,000 in updates.
An Abundance of Amenities
The house is 4,343 square feet and sits on a sprawling 1.4-acre lot. Hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, stone fireplaces, a massive walk-in closet, a gym, a wine room that can hold 500 bottles, a chef’s kitchen, a wet bar, and an area for golfing are a few of the amenities the home offers.
He’s also planning on adding a half-sized football field.
“I’m going to have a half-football field so I can get some work in with some guys out there,” Mahomes told Dan Patrick of NBC Sports.
The football player is a lover of all sports. Therefore, he’s discussed the idea to build a basketball court. That didn’t go over too well with the Kansas City Chiefs’ General Manager Brett Veach. The risk of potential injury is too great.
“That’s not for me, that’s for the kids,” says Mahomes, as the couple will be welcoming their first child in a few months.

A Star Quarterback
As a star quarterback, he has been quite successful during his four years with the NFL. The list of his accomplishments thus far is pretty impressive.
Mahomes has won the Super Bowl once, been selected as Super Bowl MVP, and received the NFL MVP award in 2018. He has earned a pretty penny, as well as a great reputation.
He can check another achievement off the list by playing in his second Super Bowl game. The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the upcoming Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
