The Seattle Seahawks are off to a not-so-great start to the 2021 season as both their defense and offense struggle.

The Seattle Seahawks came into the 2021 NFL season with high expectations and playoff hopes. Many NFL pundits picked them as a favorite to win the NFC West division and secure a playoff spot early this year. That has turned out not to be the case as the team has stumbled its way through the first five regular-season games. The team currently has a record of 2-3 on the season and is in last place in the competitive NFC West. They played their division rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, last night as the nationally televised Thursday Night Football matchup. The Seattle Seahawks struggled to do much of anything on offense and fell to the Rams, 26-17. The Rams are off to a hot start with a 4-1 record on the season and they currently sit at first place in their division.

The Seattle Seahawks performance on Thursday Night Football was so bad that not even the team’s mascot wanted to stick around to see it. The Seattle football team utilizes a live seahawk named Taima as their mascot. Taima shoots out of the home team tunnel before games and flies around to get the fans revved up for the game. Taima is usually content to watch the game from her perch but on Thursday night, the bird had seen enough from the Seattle Seahawks. She decided it was time to take a stroll through the stadium and meet some of the fans cheering her on. Her destination? The head of an unexpecting Seattle Seahawks fan. Check out the video of Taima’s new friend.

Seattle Seahawks Mascot Mingles With Fans

Say what you will, but these fans deserve a lot of credit — especially the man with the bird on his head. Everyone kept their cool and did absolutely nothing to spook the bird. Taima became so comfortable with her landing spot that she tucked her wings in. Well done, Seattle Seahawks Fans — well done. This man has an interesting story that he can now share with others for the rest of his life. The fan doesn’t seem perturbed at all and allows the bird to rest a second on his head. He actually cracks a big smile as the bird sits atop his dome. Fans around him look on in great amusement and disbelief — many with their cell phone cameras out and catching the moment.

A couple of other videos show shots that the bird remained on the man’s head for a solid 10 seconds. It definitely is not attacking the man as its large claws are not in use and the guy makes no attempt to shoo it away. Taima was obviously just looking for a place to relax before heading back to her trainer.
