Shailene Woodley Confirms Engagement to Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

Actress Shailene Woodley has confirmed her engagement with Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

In early February, rumors of an engagement began circulating before Rodgers revealed that he’s engaged to be married, though he didn’t disclose to whom.

However, all that changed after Woodley announced their engagement during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

During the interview, Fallon took no time at all to ask Woodley about the upcoming wedding bells.

“Yes, we are engaged, we are engaged,” she said. “But for us, it’s not new news, you know, so it’s kind of funny, everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while.’”

It’s clear the Divergent star is head over heels in love with her new fiancée, calling him “a wonderful, incredible human being.”

“I never thought I’d be engaged to someone who threw balls for a living,” she joked. “I never thought as a little girl, ‘When I grow up, I’m gonna marry someone who throws balls, yeah!’”

Later she joked about how her dog desperately wanted her to date Rodgers because he can throw a ball much farther than “three feet.”

Shailene Woodley Engaged to QB Despite Never Attending Football Game

However, the star revealed that even though the pair will be heading to the altar soon, she’s “never been to a football game.”

According to Shailene Woodley, they “met during this wacky, wacky time,” she said. According to Woodley, she hasn;t attended a game due to the limited number of seats available due to the pandemic.

“I have yet to go to a football game and before I’d met him, I’d never seen one football game before,” she shared. “I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially American sports, it was never really on my radar.”

She also added, “I don’t know him as the football guy. I know him as the nerd that wants to host ‘Jeopardy!’ that’s the dude I know.”

Before Rodgers popped the question to Woodley, he was linked to actress Olivia Munn and former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.

Woodley is also no stranger to dating athletes. She previously dated rugby player Ben Volavola.
