Team USA gymnast Simone Biles took to her Instagram on Sunday (August 8th) to share with her followers what she has been up to since returning from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“🍬 sweet like candy🍬” Simone Biles captions to the post, which features snapshots of her rocking a gorgeous colorful bikini.

Along with enjoying some time by the pool, Simone Biles recently shared she was happy to be back home in Houston, Texas. She also surprised her boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, during his practice with the Texans.

As previously reported, Simone Biles announced her withdrawal from the all-around team and individual events during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after she experienced twisties, which caused her to become unfocused. This could be a dangerous circumstance for a gymnast. She did end up returning to the competition and scored the bronze in the balance beam event.

According to Buzzfeed, the Olympian also shared more details about her experience at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics during a Zoom call with President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, and other Team USA athletes. “The Olympics was not how I expected it to go, but putting my mental and my physical health first will probably be one of my greatest accomplishments,” Simone Biles says in the chat.

Simone Biles’ Boyfriend Admits He Was Sick Over Watching Her Struggle During 2020 Tokyo Olympics

According to ESPN, Simone Biles’ boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, admitted to reporters last week that he was sick over watching the two-time Olympian struggle during the Tokyo Olympic Games.

“I was sick for [Simone Biles], just because I can see her face, I kind of know her facial expressions,” Owens explains. He also states that he already knew what was going beforehand, but he was just really hoping she was going to get over what was happening and be able to go out there and perform.

“So I was sick to my stomach because she wasn’t able to go out there,” Owens continues. He then admits the trip to Tokyo was the longest that the couple had been separated from one another since they began dating in August 2020.

Owens does admit that he was trying to be the “extra voice” for Simone Biles in order to help her stay positive. “She was kind of in a funk when everything wasn’t going right. I was trying to keep her positive,” he explains. The NFL player then says that he had a time understanding what his girlfriend was going through because he wasn’t on that stage and dealing with pressure. ”

Owens goes on to add that he is very proud of Simone for doing what was right for mental and physical health. “Just to be able to overcome mentally what was going on. She kind of altered her beam routine, but I was just happy for her.”
