Skip Bayless Trolls ‘Thank You Aaron Rodgers’ Hashtag with Flaming Call Out of Packers QB

Skip Bayless thinks Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers failed. And, Bayless isn’t afraid to share that sentiment with the world.

On Tuesday (Jan. 26), the television show host and sports analyst shared some very critical words about Rodgers via social media. To make sure his point was shared and shared and shared, Bayless included the hashtag #ThankYouAaron at the beginning of the post.

“#ThankYouAaron for letting down Packer Nation in all five of your NFC Championship Games, even the 1st one when you barely hung on to beat Caleb Haney and especially this last one in the 4th quarter against Brady and the Bucs. Thank you for so entertainingly deflecting any blame.”

Skip Bayless Critical of Aaron Rodgers in NFC Championship Loss

Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers ended their season with a 31-26 loss to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday (Jan. 24). Brady and the Bucs will now face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. That game is set for Sunday, Feb. 7.

The Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 38-24 in the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 24 to make it to the Super Bowl.

Some Twitter users disagreed with Skip Bayless and his take on Rodgers.

“Skip tears down other great QB’s in order to prop up Tom Brady,” one user posted. “Tom Brady is great, why the need to tear down others, there’s room for more than one great.”

“He threw for 350 and 3 touchdowns man shouldn’t have to break records to win a playoff game skip,” one user posted in response to Skip Bayless.

“Lol. You’re kidding, right? I’m neither a Packers fan or am I an anti-Packer,” another Twitter user posted in response to Bayless. “I watched that game. Rodgers was the only Packer trying to hold that thing together. He did a hell of a job as his receivers kept dropping key balls and couldn’t beat their coverage on vital downs.”

Aaron Rodgers Shrugs Off Rumors of Drama

With the season over the Green Bay Packers, members of the media and fans of the organization have turned their eyes to the future. Will Aaron Rodgers stay in Wisconsin? Will the franchise have success in the future?

According to Pat McAfee, Rodgers, who is in contract negotiations with the Packers, is denying rumors that he plans to leave Green Bay. McAfee brought up the topic with Rodgers, but the quarterback was quick to downplay any issue.

“It’s a slow week,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers has been less than forthcoming about his future prospects, according to recent reports. He has even called what will happen in the remaining years of his career “a beautiful mystery.”

“I hope there’s more opportunities, especially this year as much as anything, and enjoy the moments. But I don’t know. I really don’t,” Aaron Rodgers told reporters who cover Green Bay. “That’s outside of my control. … My future is a beautiful mystery, I think.”
