Yesterday (Saturday) was a college football fan’s delight as it produced a number of exciting matchups and entertaining battles.

One of the best college football matchups of the day took place in Happy Valley where the Nittany Lions roam. It was two great football conferences clashing as the SEC and the Big 10 went head to head. Ranked inside the college football top 10, the Penn State Nittany Lions looked across the field to see the top 25 ranked Auburn Tigers staring back at them.

It was a clash of college football titans that went down to the wire. Making the game even more electric was the “whiteout” put on by the Penn State students and fans. The Penn State whiteout is one of the most intimidating sites in all of college football. Students and fans attending the game dress in all white, giving the crowd a united and ferocious vibe. The whiteout is an intimidation tactic and certainly seemed to work against Auburn.

To make the whiteout even more intimidating to Auburn opponents, the crowd will often chant or sing in unison. It is really a sight to behold and one of the greatest traditions in all of college football. Making the Penn State whiteout stand out even more is the fact they typically do it after the sun goes down. Setting a whiteout against the black of night is an incredible sight to behold. The crowd’s song of choice on Saturday night was “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. Take a look and witness one of the greatest aspects of college football.

“Sweet Caroline is special in Happy Valley,” the tweet proclaims. If that doesn’t get your blood pumping — you might want to check your pulse.

College Football Saturday Sees a Big Win in Happy Valley

It was a big night in Happy Valley and it produced an excellent football game. The matchup between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Auburn Tigers was as good as advertised. The game went down to the final few minutes with both teams seeking a big win. In the end, it was Penn State claiming a 28-20 victory over the Auburn Tigers.

The win will have major ramifications in the world of College Football as Penn State cements itself as a top 10 team and national championship contender. Next up for the Nittany Lions is a game against the Villanova Wildcats. The following Saturday, they will face the Indiana Hoosiers in a battle for Big 10 supremacy.

Penn State fans certainly hope they have more opportunities to belt out “Sweet Caroline” this College Football season. It is highly likely they will get their wish as their team looks like a legit contender. As they move deeper into their football schedule, they will look to make a run at the college football playoffs.
