On Tuesday afternoon, the LA County Sheriff’s Office announced that legendary golfer Tiger Woods’ injuries sustained from a single-car accident are not life-threatening.

This morning around 7 a.m., Woods’ SUV reportedly rolled over more than once and came to a crashing halt on its side. First responders found the golfer trapped inside his vehicle and called for further assistance. Emergency rescue workers arrived and helped Woods out of the car. Contrary to earlier reports, the fire department said the jaws of life were not used to extract Woods from his SUV.

Subsequently, paramedics rushed the 15-time major champion to a nearby hospital. At first, officials were mum on Woods’ condition. But his agent Mark Steinberg shared a statement saying that his client “suffered multiple leg injuries.” Additionally, he said that Woods was already undergoing surgery for his leg injuries.

Now, the local sheriff’s department has shared a vital update with the public. To the relief of many, Woods’ injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

“LA County Sheriff’s Dept. to CBSN LA … Woods’ injuries are non life-threatening,” CBS Sports anchor Joe Musso tweeted.

Woods is now undergoing his sixth surgery in the last seven years. The golfer just had back surgery to deal with a pinched nerve in January. It was the fifth surgery attempting to relieve Woods of troubling back issues since 2014.

Tiger Woods Injured in Scary Rollover Car Crash

On Tuesday morning, first responders attended to a bad rollover car crash that involved Tiger Woods. The golfer wrecked his SUV in Ranchos Palos Verdes at Hawthorne Blvd. close to Blackhorse Rd.

Woods was the only person involved in the single-car accident. Officials do not suspect that Woods was under the influence of alcohol while driving. However, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. have yet to rule out any other substances as possible contributing factors to the crash.

According toTMZ, law enforcement said that Woods was alert enough at the scene of the crash to ask responders to have his manager come gather his belongings from the wreckage. Supposedly, police did not find any illegal substances inside the vehicle.

The 45-year-old was in town for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament. The Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades hosted the event. In addition, Woods had a two-day photo shoot with Golf Digest. On Monday, photos circulated of Woods smiling along with actor David Spade and former NBA star Dwyane Wade as part of the photo shoot.

There are no further details on Tiger Woods’ condition or the cause of the crash. Police are still investigating the incident.
