Tiger Woods Involved in Major Car Crash

The golfer was driving alone when his vehicle flipped over near Rancho Palos Verdes. The accident left Woods trapped in his car. As a result, firefights had to use a device known as the “jaw of life” to break open Woods’ car and rescue him. No one else was injured.

Woods’ condition is yet to be known. The LA County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the crash.

The sheriff’s department released a statement saying, “On February 23, at approximately 7.12 am, LASD responded to a single-vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.”

“The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage,” the LA County Sheriff’s Department statement continues.

“Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the jaws of life by LA County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries,” the statement reads.

Woods was previously arrested on a DUI in 2017. Reports say that Tiger Woods had painkillers, sleep drugs, and an ingredient active in marijuana in his body when Florida police arrested him in May.

More recently, the golf superstar underwent surgery in January this year for a disc fragment that was pinching a nerve in his back. This was his fifth surgery on his back in the last seven years. Additionally, in 2014, Woods had his first surgery on his back for a pinched nerve and missed out on The Masters.

The story on the iconic PGA golfer’s current condition is developing.
