Tiger Woods Former Mistress Rachel Uchitel Breaks Silence on His Serious Car Crash

Tiger Woods’ former mistress Rachel Uchitel has spoken out on the pro golfer’s recent horrific crash. The incident occurred Tuesday morning. Uchitel wished the golfer a speedy recovery from his injuries. She also hated the fact the crash pushed Woods into the national spotlight.

“Obviously, I’m shaken to see this,” she told E! News. “I’m really hoping he walks out of there okay. Knowing Tiger, this is the last thing he wants — the entire world watching him this way. On the golf course, yes, but not this way.”

She said she’s thankful that Woods is alive as well.

“The most important thing is to make sure he’s okay,” Uchitel said. “Thank God it’s a non-life-threatening injury. He’s one of the greatest athletes in the world and we’ve been seeing him in one of the greatest sports comebacks in history. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens.”

The public learned of Woods and Uchitel’s affair back in 2009 after a separate car crash brought Woods’ infidelity into the national spotlight. That period marked a decline in both Woods’ professional and personal life after multiple other infidelities surfaced. Over the past few years, Woods has made a comeback career-wise, winning the Masters in 2019.

Tiger Woods’ Car Crash

Police responded to a single-car crash on Tuesday morning at 7:12 a.m. According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Woods was the only one in the crash. Reportedly, the golfer traveled at a “greater speed than normal.” Woods’ car flipped during the crash, and authorities had to rescue the golfer from the vehicle.

During the crash, Woods experienced multiple injuries to his legs. The golfer was conscious when authorities arrived and interacted with first responders. Authorities transported Woods to a local hospital where doctors performed a “long surgical procedure” on both his right ankle and leg.

Since then, the hospital has released a statement: “Mr. Woods suffered significant orthopedic injuries to his right lower extremity that were treated during emergency surgery by Orthopedic trauma specialists at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center.”

According to Woods’ reps, the golfer was “awake and recovering” following his surgery. Currently, it is unknown what the recovery process or the road forward looks like for Woods. The golfer was amid recovery from a recent back surgery he had back in December. Prior to the crash, Woods looked forward to getting back on the green and back to the sport that he loves.
