Tiger Wood Hosted a PGA Tour Over the Weekend

This is the second high-profile car crash of the golfer’s career. Previously in 2009, Woods crashed his SUV outside of his Florida home into SUV a tree, several hedges, and ultimately a fire hydrant. That crash marked a period of decline in Woods’s professional career when it came to light the golfer had committed multiple infidelities during his marriage. In 2017, police also arrested Woods for both reckless driving and driving while under the influence as well.

Since then, the golfer has made a career comeback. In 2019, Woods won the Masters, his first major championship in over an 11-year span.

Prior to the crash, Woods appeared in high spirits. The pro golfer acted as host for the PGA Tour Genesis Invitational this past weekend and was also doing a two-day photo shoot with Golf Digest. Photos showed Woods smiling alongside both athlete Dwayne Wade and actor David Spade yesterday at the Rolling Hills Country Club. As part of the shoot, Woods gave golf lessons to several famous celebrities.

The athlete was still regaining his movement following surgery to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve. In total, Woods has had a total of five back surgeries, and this was his first back surgery since 2017. Woods looked forward to getting back on the green following his surgery. The pro golfer last participated in the PNC Championship alongside his son on Dec. 20.

Currently, we don’t know what condition Woods is in or the cause of the accident. But Outsider will keep you updated with the latest information as the situation unfolds.
