He may very well be the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) when it comes it comes to football, but Tom Brady is entitled to the occasional temper tantrum.

That is precisely what happened yesterday (Monday) as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got in a practice. According to reporters on the scene, Tom Brady had something of a meltdown after a few bad plays. He also reportedly berated his teammates for their performance and even dropped an F-bomb. In a bit of rage, he also slammed his helmet to the ground while chiding his fellow Bucs players. It is really nothing new for Brady as he is as emotionally attached to the game as any NFL player has ever been. He’s been known to have an emotional outburst when things aren’t going his team’s way. At 44-years-old, it seems his commitment to his team is as strong as it has ever been.

The incident happened as the Bucs were working in a full-team, 11-on-11 drill situation. Tom Brady reportedly also took a sack and his frustration was highly visible. He reportedly took the football and kicked it 40 yards downfield. Not a bad distance on the kick — perhaps the Bucs should consider also using Brady as their punter. His momentary temper tantrum also included a mix of four-letter words directed at the team for not performing up to par.

“Brady would have been sacked on a play and punted the ball in frustration about 40 yards toward field two,” a social media post states. “A pretty nice punt.”

But, Tom Brady was not yet finished with his temper tantrum as round two would soon begin. It sounds like someone may have been suffering from a case of the Mondays.

Tom Brady Chastises Teammates for Poor Performance

On the very next offensive series for Brady and the Bucs, things didn’t get much better. Brady was sacked once again and threw a couple of incompletions. He again had an angry outburst, also chastising his teammates for lack of effort.

“Gotta make a f***ing play when you’re tired fellas,’ he reportedly said while trying to motivate his team.

“After completions to Miller, Evans and Bernard, two-minute drive stops with a sack and a couple of incompletions,” an NFL reporter says. “Tom Brady slams his helmet. ‘Gotta make a (bleeping) play when you’re tired fellas.'”

There’s no need for Tom Brady fans to worry about his status. NFL training camps are hot, tiring, and difficult. Angry outbursts are actually pretty common on NFL practice fields across the league. Tampa Bay Bucs head coach Bruce Arians defended his superstar quarterback’s actions.

“Guys have got to make plays,” the coach says. “You’re in a critical situation, you can’t fall down. He gives you a chance to win the game. You’ve got to go down and win the game. I don’t care how tired you are.”

The Bucs will play their first preseason game on Saturday, August 14.
