Previous to today’s highly anticipated matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady posted a new hype video as he makes his return to Gillette Stadium.

Tonight’s Sunday Night Football game has been on the minds of NFL fans and analysts since the schedule was announced. Brady spent the first 20 years of his career in New England where he led the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles.

In the last few seasons of his Patriots career, Tom Brady felt like the team didn’t value him. The 44-year-old who is widely considered the greatest football player of all time decided he had more to prove though. Therefore he signed with Tampa before last season, and we all know how that turned out for each team. He immediately led the Bucs to a Super Bowl title – Brady’s seventh in 21 seasons. In contrast, the Patriots didn’t even make the playoffs.

Much has been made of Tom Brady’s now-infamous exit from New England. Numerous reports have revealed a deterioration in his and head coach Bill Belichick’s relationship. In fact, recent reports have suggested that Belichick opted to call Brady instead of bidding him farewell in person as he left New England.

Finally, NFL fans will be treated to Tom Brady’s return to New England. The matchup everyone has been waiting for is just hours away. Brady shared a new hype video this morning as he gears up to play as the opponent in Gillette Stadium for the first time in his career. The touching minute-long clip revisits some of the highlights of Brady’s Patriots career.

However, towards the end of the video, and in true Brady fashion, it flips a switch and becomes all business. Tom Brady isn’t returning to mingle with old friends. He’s simply there to win.

Tom Brady Thinks He Can Play Football Until He’s 50 Years Old

While most athletes’ performances decline in their 30s, and definitely by their 40s, Tom Brady seems to be ageless. For years, fans and NFL reporters have speculated on when he will hang up his football cleats. But the man keeps on ticking and defies the odds each season. He’s not just keeping up with the league, he’s still dominating it at 44 years old.

In 2017, Brady told ESPN that he may retire by age 45. That said, he also admitted he may play well into his late 40s if he stays healthy. Yet 45 is right around the corner, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down whatsoever.

In a recent YouTube clip called “Tommy and Gronky” posted to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers official channel, Brady addressed retirement once again. A fan asked if he would play until he was 50, which he confirmed is a distinct possibility.

“Wow, seems to be a really hot question lately. Can Tom Brady play ’til 50? Like, 50 years old? Fifty. I don’t find it so difficult. Plus, in Florida, it’s kind of a retiree state, so I feel like I can play and then just glide into retirement. I think I can. I think it’s a yes,” Brady explained.
