If you haven’t noticed, Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is a pretty big deal — especially in Florida. Now, a charitable organization in Florida is looking to take advantage of Brady’s popularity and raise funds using his likeness.

Specially made Tom Brady license plates are expecting to go on sale in Florida in the very near future. Sale of the plates will benefit a charity that Brady has strong connections with called “Best Buddies.”

The Best Buddies organization is a nonprofit that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Florida officials say the license plates bearing Brady’s image will officially go on sale once 3,000 people commit to buying one. That threshold is expecting to be met at some point in the coming days or week.

With Brady’s immense popularity among Tampa Bay Buc fans and other Floridians, it seems like a safe bet the plates will soon be on sale. Production on the Brady plates is also expected to begin soon.

Tom Brady License Plates Will Benefit ‘Best Buddies’

According to state and Best Buddies officials, the specialty plates will be sold for $35 each. Of that amount, $25 will go directly toward Best Buddies’ cause. They say it would be an excellent Christmas gift for Tampa Bucs fans or Tom Brady fans in general.

Along with an image of the quarterback preparing to throw a pass, the plates also feature the organization’s website, bestbuddies.org.

Best Buddies Founder and CEO Anthony K. Shriver says he expects the plates to be a big success for the nonprofit organization.

“With his recent move to Florida, we are incredibly excited to team up with long-time Global Ambassador Tom Brady for the new Best Buddies specialty license plate,” he says.

The longtime New England Patriot signed with the Bucs in the NFL’s last offseason. Brady’s team is 8-5 on the season and are currently in second place in the NFC South division.
