Following Antonio Brown’s epic meltdown on the field during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Jets game, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is sharing his reaction to the wide receiver’s antics.

Tom Brady was reportedly asked about Brown’s actions during his postgame press conference. In his response, Brady stated that people should be empathetic towards the wide receiver. “I think we all want him to [find help] in ways that he really needs it. We all love him and care about him deeply. I think everyone should be compassionate and empathetic toward some very difficult things that are happening.”

As previously reported, Brown grew increasingly frustrated on the sidelines during the game. He ended up ripping his gear off and storming off the field. The wide receiver gave the crowd in the stands the peace sign before heading to the locker rooms.

Tom Brady’s comments occurred just after Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians announced that Brown was officially no longer on the team. “I’ve never seen a guy leave a field like that. This is the last strike for him. He’s no longer a Buc. Alright, that’s the end of the story.”

Meanwhile, the Bucs came back and won the game against the Jets 28-24. Arians spoke about the win by stating, “We’ve been in some crazy situations before, but this was a very special one to come back and win that game.”

Buccaneer Fans React to Tom Brady’s Response to Antonio Brown

Fans took to Twitter to share their reactions to Tom Brady’s response to Antonio Brown’s antics during the New York Jets game. “He is at a [loss] for words. That’s tough man,” one fan declared, noticing Brady’s mannerisms about the situations.

Others questioned exactly why Coach Arians decided to remove Brown from the team. In which, one fan wrote, “Are you seriously confused by why an adult throwing a temper tantrum is not a guy you want on. Your team? This can’t be a serious question…”

Another fan then shared, “[Antonio Brown] has a mental condition that is serious issue. He needs support not to be made of. Tom Brady is a great person and his response was on point. Hopefully, AB can get the help he needs.”

The same fan goes on to add that he thinks Brown’s career in the NFL is over. “AB needs professional help for his BPD condition. I have that condition and recognize it immediately when I see someone act irrationally like that. He cannot control his actions when he gets triggered then afterwards regrets what happened.”

Prior to joining the Buccaneers in 2020, Brown was with the New England Patriots in 2019, Oakland Raiders in 2018, and Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 2018.
