Georgia football legend and former NFL star Herschel Walker took to social media earlier today to voice his concerns about politicians that don’t “put America first.”
Walker posted a minute-long video clip to his official Twitter page on Sunday afternoon. In it, he says it should be a requirement for those running for public office to believe in “America first” and in the Constitution.
“Anyone that don’t believe in America, ya know, America first, and don’t believe in the Constitution, I don’t know how they can qualify to run for public office in the United States of America,” Walker states in the video. “You gotta first believe in America, and believe in America’s ways or you’re disqualified. Those are the rules.”
Furthermore, the former running back goes on to add that he doesn’t think it’s right for outside interference to sway an American election. He says that anyone who does should not be in office.
“I think anyone that believes that any foreign entity should have a right to be meddling in our election shouldn’t be in office either,” Walker continues. “So right now we need to put America first, and think about how many people have died fighting for our freedom to have those rights to believe in the American way.”
Walker captioned the video, “GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!”
Herschel Walker Goes Off on Thanksgiving Rules
At this point, it is routine for Walker to share clips of his thoughts on Twitter. Additionally, he often films the videos following his workouts.
Walker posted another short video on his Twitter account On Thanksgiving Day. In that video, he wished everyone a happy holiday. But, he also shared strong criticisms of anyone who doesn’t “put America first.”
“I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving,” the former Heisman trophy winner says at the beginning of the video.
However, Walker changed his tone rather quickly. He mentions the “crazy rules” that certain states have implemented for the holiday due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many governors are requiring citizens to gather only in small groups on Thanksgiving. While speaking to his followers, he told them not to “lose the faith” if they can’t see their family this year.
