WATCH: Insane Brawl Breaks Out After Rams Lose Pre-Season Game

The Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams went head-to-head for an epic showdown during the NFL preseason.

Fans were invested in the game, as it turns out, maybe a little too invested. It was just a preseason game, after all.

The Rams were defeated in the matchup with a final score of 13-6. The game was at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The game was close and the tension was high throughout. The crowd broke into an epic brawled that resulted in some banged-up Los Angeles residents.

During the second quarter, two fans went head-to-head. The two eventually starting physically punching one another. By the end of it all, one fan was left with an incredibly bloody face. It makes sense, given the fact that security took a long time to realize there was a fight going on.

The one guy that was throwing some pretty intense punches quickly got escorted out of the stands. The game went on, allowing the Rams to lose.

Bryce Perkins in Preseason Opener

Bryce Perkins finally got his chance in the spotlight at the preseason opener game. Throughout the training camp days, both Devlin Hodges and Perkins sat on the sidelines. however, Matthew Stafford and John Wolford were both sitting out for this game.

This gave the third and fourth positioned men on the depth chart to get a chance on the field. It would also give them the opportunity to potentially earn a roster spot in the future.

According to the Los Angeles Times, it was the first time that Perkins got to show off that NFL jersey during an actual game as a quarterback.

“Going out there and performing all the things that we practiced over the last year — for me, for the last two years, this year and last year — it’s gonna be exciting. I know energy’s gonna be up,” Perkins said.

Perkins faced a number of injuries and other setbacks. This is why he hasn’t had stats or anything for about two years. This game was his big opportunity to showcase what he’s made of.

NFL Preseason So Far

As of right now, the preseason is well underway.

Looking into the future, the Carolina Panthers will go against the Indianapolis Colts today (August 15) at noon. After that, the Patriots go against the Eagles on August 19 and the Bengals face Washington on August 20. Next week is week three of the preseason out of four total weeks.

Meanwhile, Trevor Lawrence is showing off his skills in the preseason so far during his NFL debut. He is playing for the Jaguars this season. Although the team lost to the Browns, fans and officials certainly see why he was in such high demand, to begin with.

“I feel like the first time out there, I felt comfortable, felt poised. Obviously, the first play’s not kind of what you want for the first play, but after that, I thought we did a good job. We communicated well up front,” Lawrence said to ESPN.
