Matt Amodio is in the midst of a 31-game win streak. However, even he couldn’t answer this Jacksonville Jaguars question. In fact, no one on the stage could. It doesn’t happen often, but when Jeopardy! contestants whiff on a sports question, it is funny and frustrating.

As the answer was read out by host Mayim Bialik, sports fans around the country screamed and yelled, “What are the Jacksonville Jaguars?!” While the contestants were all thinking, “Who are the Jacksonville Jaguars?” Look, as a casual Jags fan, this isn’t helping the feeling of the season.

When you have the number one draft pick at quarterback and one of the more recognizable chants (Duuuval) it hurts a bit when no one knows you on Jeopardy! That’s fitting for how the season has been going on the field.

There has been a lot of noise down in Jacksonville this season. Coach Urban Meyer has been the talk of the town. Not for good reasons either. He has a team without a win and was immediately rumored to be interested in the USC coaching job as head of the Trojans. That move to the NCAA would be astonishing, and the coach had to deny the rumors.

Jacksonville Jaguars Season Off to Bad Start

Through three games, the Jacksonville Jaguars are without a win. That’s right, 0-3. The team has talent on defense and the most exciting QB prospect in quite some time. Trevor Lawrence was the top pick in the draft this year and he is showing his talent already. While the wins aren’t there, he has had good production.

Of course, those rookie-year frustrations are there. Lawrence has thrown more picks than touchdowns this season and has made some bad throws. However, he has thrown for over 300 yards in his first game and over 200 yards in his last outing.

Tonight for Thursday Night Football, the Jacksonville Jaguars are taking on the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have won two games this season. Their only loss comes to the Chicago Bears in a close 17-20 game back on the 19th. One thing you are hoping for if you are a Jags fan is fewer mistakes from your young QB.

Now, you also want to see a win. However, beggars can’t be choosers. The Bengals also have a young QB, although Joe Burrow has a year of experience under his belt. He is also one of the most promising young prospects in the league at that position.

Maybe get a win tonight, and then next time it comes up a Jeopardy! player ever might be able to remember the name of your franchise. If the Jags go to 0-4, it will be dark days ahead in Duval County.
